Last night in a hotel!

We’ve driven through Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, Nebraska, a small corner of Iowa, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana and are in Kentucky. Tomorrow will include West Virginia and Virginia.

We’ve crossed the Missouri twice, the North Platte, Mississippi and Ohio Rivers.

Random notes:

• Many “red states” have invested in green energy in the form of windmills and solar panels
• The people in Idaho, Wyoming and Nebraska are exceptionally friendly and attentive
• Tailgating is a sport in St Louis
• We live in a beautiful and very large country
• Sweet tea might replace Diet Coke for me
• Apparently if you are shackled by lust, Jesus can set you free per the billboard seen most frequently
• “Little America” is a combo truck stop – hotel – wedding venue – frisbee golf course that serves $.75 cones except when you want one and the machine is kaput
